This is a listing of the sites that I work hard to maintain. I strive to make each as useful as possible to the Internet. You will notice that I do not advertise on any of my sites. I am providing this purely as a hobby. I do hope that you will find the information contained in them to be useful.
I started off my career as a UNIX administrator. I wanted to get into web hosting, and to learn as much as I could (and to further my knowledge of UNIX/BSD/Linux) I set up the syslog.org site. It has gone through many changes since I set it up, but I am pretty happy with the current configuration. I intentionally set it up as a very interactive site, so that people can share their knowledge. Unfortunately, that has not happened.
Logging:
- Here is a great wiki dedicated to syslog-ng. Sample config files, and many how-to’s.
- Also there is a wiki on windows event log/event viewer.
- Here is a huge library of log analysis and syslog tools.
Over the past few years, I have become an avid aquarist. I have combined my love of technology and my love of fish into some internet sites. There are many good sites on the Internet, and I am active in some of them. But, being the tinkerer that I am, I have to have my own.
Aquaria:
- Aquariu.ms has a listing of tropical fish stores from around the world.
- Also, there is a database of online aquarium and fish keeping forums and a listing of online aquarium stores.
- A cool listing of current discussions from online aquarium forums is available.
- I have set up a tropical fish forum to assist anyone who needs help with their aquariums.
